We all know that a resume is supposed to help get you an interview but the interview is what really gets you the job. For some people, that’s great. They thrive under the pressure of an interview setting. Then there are people like me. I hated interviews because my anxiety flared of up thinking about what are they going to ask me? Did I answer that correctly? Did I already tell that story? If that sounds like you, let me just tell you there is hope. The more I practiced interviewing, the more comfortable I started to become in that environment, and the better I began to perform. To help with that, I provide some tips on how to build a story bank of answers while practicing for these interviews in episode 177, my 50th tip.
I also really hated the fact that I never received any feedback from the people I interviewed with so I could make adjustments in my answers and how I showed up in that space. Now, with the pandemic, many companies are integrating virtual interviewing into their hiring process, presenting a whole new set of difficulties. Both of these things make the need to practice interviewing even more important. But unfortunately, many of us don’t have someone to practice with.
Well, I’ve teamed up with AAA’s The Auto Club Group to fix that. We’re providing FREE 30 – 45-minute VIRTUAL mock interviews for UP TO 50 PEOPLE July 13th – July 17th.
So, if you haven’t interviewed in a while, need to work on your interview skills, want to practice virtual interviewing, or just want to receive feedback on your interview performance then sign up for a session with one of AAA’s The Auto Club’s HR professionals at bit.ly/LRCAAA.
